Original Item: Only One Available. This started life as and OPERATION TORCH invasion American Flag armband but it was later converted for use by the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force Military Police (SHAEF MP’s).

This is early type flag armband was initially used for the invasion of North Africa or Operation TORCH. The material is a waterproof material with the American Flag painted on one side.

At some point the military police attached to Eisenhower’s Headquarters (SHAEF) needed armbands and decided to use these, by reversing the armbands and using the blank side. The American flag was then crossed out with black stripes as not all MPs in SHAEF were American. Allied HQ contained British, Canadian, Australian, and many others as well.

Shows some minor soiling, but in overall fine condition. A scarce wartime armband.
